Max has been captured and placed inside a Nazi prison camp. His reputation is such that he is to be watched by an armed guard at all times. At the moment, it is Vormann DeVille’s turn to mind the prisoner. Were it up to her, she would kill him on the spot and have done with, but she obeys her orders, pacing back and forth in the overheated cell. She loosens her shirt for just a bit of relief and Max starts cat-calling, asking about her tits. Frustrated that she has to take this American’s insolence, has to perform such a menial task as guard duty, she is taken by surprise when Max does make his move. As he continues to taunt her, luring her closer, he waits until she is near. Then, like a snake striking, his hand snaps out, a heavy bladed knife thrusting upwards, sinking into her liver. She doubles over, trying to call for help, but the pain barely allows her to breath. While still in shock from Max’s attack, he pulls the knife out and stabs it right into her chest.
